Sandra Osborne for Town Board

Hello! I’m Sandra Osborne and I’m running to complete Sarah Suarez’s term on the Germantown Town Board. Sarah has done an amazing job, and I am dedicated to continuing her effort to bring the community together, work in partnership with fellow Democrat Kaare Christian, and to get things done for Germantown.

I grew up in Olympia, Washington—a small town built on state government, logging, and beer. After earning my law degree from Seattle University, I spent 15 years as trial attorney at a San Francisco law firm, resolving complex business disputes. I later joined my family’s coffee company, importing green coffee and selling it to small, independent roasters. My husband Christopher and I moved to Germantown to be closer to family. Today I work as an artist – when I am not volunteering my time to work for Germantown.

“While it has been challenging to step away from my position on the Town Board, I feel so relieved knowing that Sandra Osborne is ready and willing to carry the torch. During our time together on the board, Kaare and I have laid a strong foundation of collaboration, respect and dedication. I feel confident that Sandra can step into this role and continue building meaningful growth and change in Germantown. There is so much progress underway for our town and getting Sandra elected will ensure that the board remains balanced and able to handle the hard work ahead.” —Sarah Suarez

I love living in Germantown, and I am committed to helping our community thrive. My background in law and business gives me practical skills that I want to put to work for our town. —Sandra Osborne

The important task is to plan for change. To take steps now to protect our resources – our limited and vulnerable groundwater, our rural open spaces – to support our local businesses with a plan for sensible growth that preserves the character and scenic beauty of the town –and to improve our parks and waterfront, to care for them as community assets for everyone to enjoy.

—Sandra Osborne

“Germantown is fortunate to have Sandra Osborne running for Town Board. She is a pleasure to work with, a quick study, and a hard worker; whatever she touches moves forward. Sandra is already contributing to ongoing town tasks, such as waterfront planning, rezoning, restoring the new Robinson Forest, and adding pickleball and other recreational facilities to Palatine Park. No one else is better prepared to get things done.”
